Julien Allali obtained his Ph.D. in 2004 on the subject of “RNA secondary structures comparison” from the Université Gustave Eiffel (Paris). Since 2006, he is an Associate Professor at the Bordeaux Computer Science Research Laboratory and lectures in the computer science department of ENSEIRB-MATMECA France). He is also a member of the MaBioVis research team (models and algorithms for bioinformatics and visualization) and his main research areas are: algorithms on string (edit/alignment/index/chaining, etc.), algorithms on trees (edit/alignment/chaining, etc.), DNA/RNA analysis and musical sequences comparison.
Julien Allali also helped with the creation of the Simbals society and is the founder of the QuizZoodle project.
